ScienceTechyNews: Carbon nanotube nanoreactors to stabilize metastable structures

Some metastable structures have been predicted to have high potential applications due to their unique properties. However, many metastable structures are produced and stable in extremely high pressure or high temperatures. The synthesis, characterization and further applications of the metastable structures are challenging. Scientists based in China and Japan introduce carbon nanotubes as nanoreactors to synthesize and stabilize the metastable structures into ambient conditions.
